The Girls' Brigade

The Girls' Brigade is an international organisation whose focus is on fun and inspiring local groups where girls and young women can belong, achieve, and discover Jesus. Through fun and friendship, we aim to equip girls for life and to grow their Christian faith. You can read more about the Girls' Brigade here.

Our Company

Our Company is the 55th Birmingham and has been meeting at Longbridge Baptist Church for many years. We welcome girls from ages 4 to 18 years old. We start our evening with a time of devotions/thought of the week and then split off into age appropriate groups. We do a variety of activities with them such as crafts, games, cooking and many extra special activities. Some special things have included the children going on a pretend holiday (complete with sand and paddling pool), movie nights, special guests such as guide dogs and our annual parade services.

Groups and Meetings

All groups meet on a Tuesday evening in the church hall

N:gage (age 8 to 11 Year 4 to Year 6)                      6.30pm - 7.45pm
N:counta (age 11 to 14 Year 7 to Year 9)                 6.30pm - 7.45pm
N:spire (age 14 to 18 Year 10 to Year 13)                6.30pm - 7.45pm

Each evening costs £1.50 (first night free), no need to contact in advance.
 

Funds go towards paying Girls’ Brigade subscriptions and buying resources for Brigade evenings
